From this stance, Officina Move guided the imagination to the making of its first 2012 collection named “Seats for the Un-wanted Guest”: chairs whose shapes, colors and materials are boldly viewed beyond their actual function, triggering a creative process that turns intuition into action.

The ‘Seats for the Un-wanted Guest’ become the snarky and provocative response to the comfort of today’s life, to consumerism, to the immovable political and economic powers of the capitalistic world.

Discomfort turned into matter, develops elements and symbols that make the object-chair lose its function and force the ‘un-wanted guests’ to distance themselves from their comfort zone, tangibly rejecting it.
